Must Visit Selfie Gallery & Artificial Zoo Model at Udupi Utsava
If you happen to visit Udupi, the temple town during
December holidays, then your travel to Udupi has happened during the most
pleasant time of the year. Udupi being a coastal town is hot and humid most of
the year. Oct to Dec is when the feel of heat and humidity is comparatively
less, thus the most ideal time to plan your holiday in the temple town.
Apart from visiting the famous Shri Krishna Temple in Udupi
and splashing water at Malpe beach, there is something more you can do at this
time of the year.
The attraction is the year end Udupi Utsava that is held
every year during November to February.
Udupi Utsava 2016-17 saw several new things which interested
kids and drew large crowds.
Several stalls were lined up with home-use products like
electronics and decorative items, handicrafts, handloom and readymade garments
and many more.
Food lovers also had a gala time here as an excellent food
court had been arranged. The Rajasthani pickles, dosa stalls, Chinese eateries,
chats and a variety of other mouth-watering snacks stalls were worth trying.

This gallery has been the major attraction of the latest
Udupi Utsava event. Young and old, all have been visiting the gallery with
curiosity of witnessing how innovatively a selfie can be clicked.
Get yourself blessed by Mother Teresa, greet our former
president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, shake hands with Obama, get bitten by a shark,
fight a dragon, milk a cow; oh there are so many ways to get you clicked.

Moving 3D Animal models – Artificial Zoo model
This is yet another section which exhibits the models of
animals in a zoo. This artificial zoo arrangement is also enhanced with voices
of animals.
Watching the life-size models of the wild animals is fun and
feels real with wild noises and movements.

Amusement rides
The amusement section is where children and grown-ups will
enjoy the fun rides. Tur-tur, giant wheel, dragon train, zig-zag, hippo slide,
boating, electronic train, dragon-slide, ulta-pulta, titanic, and caterpillar
are few amongst the attractions in this section.
You can hear the exciting joyous screams of people riding
these rides.

Udupi Utsava is usually held towards the end of the year for
about 3 months.
Udupi is also famous for Malpe Beach. Tourists never miss to
enjoy the sandy shore and salty water.
A Beach Utsav is also conducted annually
at Malpe Beach, which normally spans for 2-3 days.
Malpe Beach Utsav is fun too and a must experience event in
