Lalbagh is one of the listed sightseeing places of Bangalore
acquiring huge space land of 240 acres located at the heart of the capital
city of Karnataka hording different species of beautiful flowers. The garden has a clean environment blowing
fresh air which is rarely found in the polluted city. The botanical garden and
the glass house are the interesting locations of this garden.
The horticulture department of Karnataka has worked for the
development of the garden and is now under the aegis of the Directorate of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka. Apart from garden, today it is an educational center regarding the botanical study of plant
ranging up to 1854 species and is internationally renowned for its diversity of
species. The lush green garden provides space, road paths, nature shade and variety
of flowers grown attracting visitors.
Every year the horticulture department of Karnataka and Mysore
Horticulture society arranges adoring flower show during Independence Day and
Republic Day. This is one of the awaited event and a grand way to celebrate the
nations pride.
Here are few pictures of Independence Day 2015. The event
had invited entire Bangalore population with a minimal fee of Rs 50 from August 7th to August 16th, 2015.
