Most of us begin our journey of makeup with eyeliner. That too black liner. I remember using Lakme Insta Eyeliner, the pitch black one. Some of them move on to coloured liner pretty soon, and some conscious girls like me keep struggling throughout the years to move on from black.
I get tempted when girls flaunt blue, orange, green, purple
eyeliners. Purple was a good choice of colour to begin with.
I had seen wonderful swatches of Urban Decay Retrograde Eyeliner.
I found a way and arranged for the liner to reach me from overseas. This is the
only problem of Urban Decay products. They are not available in India.
Packaging: Package is a cylindrical tube which is in the
similar color as that of the eyeliner. The liner applicator handle is a little
too long. It can be difficult if you don’t practice applying.
Color: Retrograde is a stunning purple shade leaning towards
black which makes it a dark and sparkling purple.
Nature: The liner has shimmers and is medium-to-thick in
consistency. The shimmers are purple in color too.
The first and single swipe is sufficient for the actual
color to show up. The application of the line dries quickly enough.
Removal: The liner is waterproof and not too easy to remove.
You have to wash your eyes thoroughly and remove everything yourself. Make sure
not to hurt yourself. It isn’t too much of mess either. You might find some shimmers
scattered. But everything is easily removed.
Staying Power: It stays for long hours. I have not let it
for more than 10 hours though. 10 hours is really long enough for a person like
me.

Retrograde:
- Not available in India
- The eyeliner is considered expensive, but worth the quality
- Applicator handle is long.
Recommendation: Final word is that, yes, if you can make
someone to get this for you from USA, UK or anywhere else in the world where
Urban Decay is available, then please don’t think twice.
